Integrated Deburring and Inspection Solution
Combines automatic deburring with visual inspection in one cell, so the part is verified after the burr is removed rather than in a separate operation.
Solution Overview
From forklift unloading to placing finished parts back on the pallet, positioning, picking, deburring, flipping and unloading are fully automatic
The integrated automatic product deburring equipment is a fully automatic deburring, chamfering and grinding machine for metal/plastic parts. The equipment automatically identifies the product position and the burr positions, a 50KG robot picks the part and places it on a positioner to be fixed, chamfering of the outer form and contour deburring are performed first (robot + force-controlled spindle), then precision deburring of hole positions (floating spindle + camera positioning), after which a flipping mechanism turns the part 180° to process the other side, and finally the finished part is automatically placed back onto the tray. No manual hand-held grinding is used at any point, making it suitable for batch processing of castings and machined parts.
Place a semi-finished part with burrs on it, and the equipment does the rest with one touch Positioning, picking, profile chamfering, hole deburring, double-sided grinding, automatic unloading the full process, saving labor, efficient, and non-damaging to the product.
The two grinding methods each correspond to two types of locations: Contour Chamfering and Deburring performed by a robot carrying a power head, Precision Hole Deburring is performed by a floating spindle, which does not damage the product. The central system records the parameters of each product model and they can be recalled at any time.

- Floating spindle + camera positioning
Loading and Unloading with Flipping
- Forklift places the material at the designated position
- One-button start, automatic operation
- Belt conveyor + flip mechanism for 180° turnover
- Automatically placed back on the tray; full trays are removed
process Workflow
From manual loading to final unloading, all intermediate steps are completed by the equipment
- 01 Manual loading (forklift places the pallet)
- 02 One-Button Start
- 03 3D Camera Positioning
- 04 Robot picking and loading
- 05 Positioner fixed by electromagnet
- 06 Outline chamfering / deburring
- 07 Deburring at hole positions
- 08 Automatic 180° Flip
- 09 Deburring on the reverse side
- 10 Automatic unloading back onto the tray
Critical Stages
Positioning, force control and flipping determine whether deburring is stable and whether parts are damaged
Contour Chamfering and Deburring
The positioner rotates the angle and the 3D camera identifies the contour again, automatically generating the grinding path; the robot carries a power spindle and automatically chamfers and deburrs the product's outer form, edges and weld seams.
- Positioner rotation angle adjusts workpiece orientation
- 3D camera identifies the contour again
- Grinding path generated automatically
- Robot + force-controlled spindle, deburring edges, corners and weld chamfers
Precision Hole Deburring
The module feeds the product to the hole position station, where a 2D camera locates the holes; a floating spindle automatically deburrs all hole inner walls and openings without damaging the product.
- The module feeds the product to the hole-position station
- 2D camera hole finding and positioning
- Floating spindle follows the hole wall for floating machining
- Covers the hole bore and opening without damaging the product
Automatic Flipping and Double-Sided Processing
A belt conveyor transfers the product, a flipping mechanism turns it over 180°, and the positioning, grinding and hole deburring sequence is repeated to complete both-sides processing.
- Belt conveyor transfers to the flip mechanism
- Flipping mechanism with 180° turnover
- Reverse-side re-positioning -> grinding -> hole deburring
- Automatically placed back on the tray after both sides are processed

Common Question
Common Questions About Integrated Automatic Deburring
What can this equipment do?
A fully automatic deburring, chamfering, and grinding machine for metal / plastic parts. It automatically identifies the product position and burr positions and grinds automatically, supports both-sides processing, two grinding methods, and automatic loading and unloading, and can record the parameters of each product. It is suitable for mass production processing of castings and machined parts, with no manual handheld grinding at any stage.
Where Is Each of the Two Grinding Methods Used?
Profile chamfering and contour deburring: Robot + force-controlled spindle to handle product contours, edges and welds; Precision Hole Deburring: a floating spindle plus camera positioning handles the hole bore and hole opening without damaging the product.
How are both sides handled?
After front-side deburring is complete, the product is conveyed by belt to the flipping mechanism for 180° flip then repeat the positioning, grinding and hole deburring sequence to complete both-side processing.
How is positioning implemented?
This is done by 3D cameras: first they take a picture to identify the product's position and shape and tell the robot where to pick and where to place; during profile machining the positioner rotates the angle and the 3D camera identifies the contour again and automatically generates the grinding path; at the hole-position station a 2D camera finds the holes.
Is manual labor needed for loading and unloading?
Loading requires manual work: the operator places the tray holding the products in the designated position with a forklift and presses one-button start. The equipment then completes the rest automatically and places the processed products neatly back on the tray; once the tray is full, a forklift takes it away directly.
What are the equipment dimensions and cycle time?
original solution documentation Equipment dimensions, workpiece size range and cycle time data were not provided, and this page does not speculate. These parameters must be confirmed against the actual workpiece and site conditions during the project phase.
